Windsurfing: Exmouth sea front Wind Direction: ESE Wind Stength: F4-5 Surf / Sea State: Choppy & confused over sand ba Air Temperature: ~10C Sea Temperature: Still cold Weather: Light rain Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Drove down with Darren Reed, arriving @ 09:50. Didn't seem to be much wind
(forecast was for F6-8). Chris Scott was out with 6.2m on 96l baord & not
doing too well. Eventually rigged up & wind seemed to pick up a little, so
was able to get out over the channel (wind with current!!), over the
sandbars & out the back.
Had a great time for about 1 1/2 hrs until the wind dropped a little making
getting upwind against the current quite tricky.
Managed some huge jumps on the steep waves just over the sand bar - even
landed a couple of them! Tere were some good, 5-6 foot rideable waves
coming back in.
Note, the sand bar was only just uncovered at LW (1.1m) and @ HW there were
still places where I could just about stand
